President William Ruto Fires All Cabinet Secretaries and Attorney General with Immediate Effect
Addressing the nation from State House Nairobi on Thursday afternoon, President William Ruto announced the immediate dismissal of all Cabinet Secretaries and the Attorney General. He stated that the only offices unaffected by this decision are those of the Deputy President and the Prime Cabinet Secretary.
President Ruto explained his decision to dissolve the Cabinet: "After reflection, listening keenly to what the people of Kenya have said, and conducting a holistic appraisal of the Cabinet's performance, achievements, and challenges, I have resolved to take this step."
