BM03. Angela Wairimu Kimaru
Angela Wairimu Kimaru is the Treasurer of the DAYO Radio Station Board and an Environmental Science Lecturer at the Technical University of Mombasa. She is a specialist in environmental education, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development, with a strong background in marine conservation and youth engagement. Angela holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from Pwani University and a Bachelor of Education (Science) from Kenyatta University, alongside practical experience in research, advocacy, and ecological restoration.

With extensive involvement in both local and international environmental initiatives, Angela has facilitated marine litter monitoring with CSIRO Australia and served as a site captain for clean-up campaigns with the Kenya Conservation of Aquatic Resources. She is also affiliated with WIOMSA and the Horticultural Association of Kenya. At DAYO Radio, Angela provides strategic financial oversight, supports planning and budgeting, and contributes to governance and resource mobilization. Passionate about community empowerment and sustainability, she leverages education and media to inspire climate action and promote environmental stewardship across generations.
